Project Goal
The goal of this project is to make the Mardigian Child Protection Center in Berd fully accessible for individuals with disabilities by installing ramps, automatic doors, smart navigation systems, and adapted restrooms so all children and families can access essential services safely, independently, and with dignity.
Project Background
The Mardigian Child Protection Center of the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR) provides therapeutic services each year to over 160 children and their families in the Berd community of Tavush. However, the center is not yet fully accessible for individuals with disabilities—whether physical, visual, hearing, or otherwise—forcing many to seek essential care outside the region. This places an added burden on already vulnerable families in this border area.
To address the gap, FAR’s crowdfunding platform Ayo! has launched an initiative to make the center fully accessible. Funds raised will support the installation of ramps, automatic doors, smart navigation systems, and adapted restrooms—ensuring everyone can access services safely, independently, and with dignity.
