Project Goal
To equip the Sevan Pediatric Rehabilitation Center with a multifunctional therapy table that will allow specialists to safely position and move children with severe mobility challenges during rehabilitation therapy.
Project Background
The Sevan Pediatric Rehabilitation Center serves children with special needs from the city of Sevan, 11 neighboring villages, nearby communities, and, in recent years, surrounding regions of Armenia. Approximately 270 children with disabilities receive therapy at the center annually, while more than 100 children remain on the waiting list.
Around 70 of the center’s beneficiaries are teenagers with severe musculoskeletal conditions. Due to their limited mobility and increased physical support needs, it is often extremely difficult or impossible for therapists to properly position and move them using standard fixed surfaces. As a result, therapy sessions can become less effective and, in some cases, impossible to carry out safely.
The purchase of a multifunctional therapy table will significantly improve the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation services. The table will allow therapists to safely reposition children during treatment, making complex therapies more accessible, targeted, and effective. The project will directly improve the rehabilitation process and quality of life for children with severe mobility challenges and their families.
